“The purpose is to inform, inspire and have a little fun along the way.“
Make Your Holiday Season Stress-Free – If you expose yourself to any kind of media with their non-stop advertising offers this time of year, you may feel like you have to buy stuff, the more the better. That isn’t really what the holidays are all about, which is enjoying family and friends. It’s OK to say “no” to things (and people) that don’t get you in the spirit of the season. That’s how to avoid the stress of the “holi-daze.”
My Golden “Dead-iversary” – On November 15th, 1971 I attended my first Grateful Dead show, which turned into a life-long love affair with their music. Hard to believe it’s been 50 years, but the songs & jams remain alive to me — I learned guitar by playing along with their live albums. If you’re wondering what the heck it was about that show (3+ hours long, more than double what most rock bands played) that got me hooked, check out this link. (Caution: It’s addictive, and there is no cure …)
Illegal Procedure He may “own” Da Bearz but Aaron Rodgers got sacked by Covid in November. He did a “play fake,” saying he was “immunized,” but the league threw the “not vaccinated” flag, which got him benched for a week and cost his team a chance to win vs. Kansas City. Was it arrogance, stupidity, or both? (Answer: Yes.) Don’t take a chance — get vaxxed. (I got my 2 shots + the booster, so I’m good to go.)
