Success Skills Coach- APRIL 2025
We’re One Big Transnational Country Now In an unprecedented move, the United States annexed Europe today (4/1). Rather than tariff them into submission, our leaders decided it would be easier to make it the 51st state. As Randy Newman sang in Political Science, “They all hate us anyhow” so this was the logical next step.
They’re BAAAAAACK! Just when you thought it was safe to go to the Sphere in Vegas, Dead & Company returned in March for another 18 show run thru May. You’d think 60 years would be enough already but they just keep Truckin on & on …
“And the Oscar SHOULDA Gone To …” I saw the Bob Dylan biopic — meh. Wicked? Visually stunning, weak plot. Didn’t see the others but I don’ know why Rule Breakers got zero buzz. It’s based on a true story about an all-girls robotics team from Afghanistan — go see it, then let me know if you agree it was the Best Picture.
March Badness in Japan The annual NCAA basketball tourney is always entertaining even without having a dog in the fight. But my Cubs have started off like dogs, losing their 2 games in Japan vs. the Dodgers while it snowed here — not a promising start.
War, Continued Israel 🇮🇱 and Ukraine 🇺🇦 continue their battles to establish peace in their countries. Global democracy is at stake here — it matters to all of us. For humanitarian aid you can donate to the neutral International Red Cross here.
Book Recommendations I read 50+ non-fiction books a year — it’s where I find ideas to help my clients grow their business. Below are the ones I read this past month..
Telltale Hearts: A Public Health Doctor, His Patients, and the Power of Story Dr. Dean-David Schillinger is on a crusade to get doctors to listen deeply to their patients.
The Psychedelic CEO An Explorer’s Journey into Psychedelics and a New Era of Business Leadership This book isn’t so much about mind-altering experiences as it is about becoming the “CEO” of your own life: Conscious, Empathetic and Open.
Taking Manhattan: The Extraordinary Events That Created New York City and Shaped America Way back in the 1600’s the tiny Dutch settlement of New Amsterdam became the model of cultural diversity, religious tolerance and free-market capitalism that ultimately allowed the United States to evolve into the country we are today.
Super Psyched Unleash the Power of the 4 Types of Connections Want a happier, more successful, more fulfilled life? Then enhance your connections to what matters.
Paradise of the Damned: The True Story of an Obsessive Quest for El Dorado, the Legendary City of Gold The futile attempts of Sir Walter Raleigh (yes, founder of Virginia) to find a vast quantity of gold in South America, ultimately costing his life.
Financial Advisors: I coach Financial Advisors around the country to help them grow their clientele. I always want to meet FA’s, branch managers and/or fund wholesalers anywhere in the US. Your introductions are greatly appreciated.
Audio Recommendation: Want great ideas from Earl Nightingale, Brian Tracy, Tony Robbins and other personal development superstars? You can always go to Nightingale.com for hundreds of hours of motivational / inspirational / educational audios to help you stay on track with success.
Contribution: There are lots of ways you can “Pay It Forward” for good karma. If you want to contribute to a military veteran’s transition to a civilian job like I do, sign on as an advisor with ACP AdvisorNet.org. Also, the American Red Cross will always welcome you to donate blood.
Healing Thoughts: If you would be so kind, please take a moment to send healing energy as I do daily to individuals you know who have serious health challenges or are dealing with difficult circumstances. Every positive thought helps, thanks.
